In collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects

We were able to offer our services in the production of several pieces of furniture designed by ZHA. We were approached because of our ability to manufacture directly from 3d model; no shop drawings, no details, just 3d model.

Through scripting, we sliced the model into layers equal to the plywood thickness. The layers were economically nested onto sheets. Surface milling took place by means of a 3-axis CNC router. The milled layers were laminated together and lightly sanded before a white-wash finish was applied.
